Frequently Asked Quesionts

Do lash extensions damage your natural lashes?

No.  Xtreme Lashes lash extensions do not damage your natural lashes.  Each lash extension is applied directly to one natural lash.  When that natural lash sheds, that extension sheds with it.  A new natural lash will be growing in behind it and will be ready for an extension at your next fill.  As long as you go to a properly trained lash stylist, there should be no damage done to your natural lashes.

How long do lash extensions last?

Xtreme Lashes lash extensions can last indefinitely if you keep them filled in.  If you are getting your extensions for a one time event, they will be nice and full for about 2 weeks and then will shed each extension naturally.  By 6 weeks, you will most likely not have any extensions left.  If you are getting them for an event, schedule your appointment a day or two before it to ensure your extensions are perfectly in place.  If you are planning on keeping your lash extensions up then fills are recommended every 3-4 weeks.  You lose several natural lashes a day and with it an extension.  You will go through a full lash cycle by 6 weeks.  Depending on how fast your lash cycle is, you should have about half of your extensions left when you come in for a fill in.  Please understand if you have less than half of your extensions when you come in for your appointment, your lashes may not be as full as they were when you received your full set.

How do I care for my lash extensions?

There are several things you can do to help extend the life of your lashes.

  • Do not get lash extensions wet for 3 hours after application.

  • Do not use any eye serums, creams, moisturizers, or oil based cleansers on your lashes.

  • Do not use waterproof mascara on your lash extensions. Regular mascara can be used, but is not recommended. The more you put on and take it off the more quickly the adhesive will be broken down and can risk premature shedding.

  • No eye lash curlers.

  • Wash your lashes daily with approved cleansers. Dirt, makeup, natural oils from your skin can break down the adhesive over time.

  • Excessive sweating or steam will cause premature lash loss. Use the Xtreme Lash Protective Coating to help prevent premature lash loss.

  • Do not pull, tug, or rub lash extensions. This will cause premature lash loss and can cause damage to your natural lashes.
